Newdegate Machinery Field Days

September 2021

From the first Field Days in 1973, our iconic event has grown to become one of the most renowned and recognised in the Eastern Great Southern of Western Australia.  With more than 300 exhibitors and between 9,000 – 11,000 visitors annually, we are focused on providing both a unique and fulfilling experience for all who attend and exhibit, with something to interest all members of the family, no matter what age. 

Corrigin Agricultural Show

Septemeber 2021

Held on the second Saturday in September, the Corrigin Agricultural Show is full of wonderful things to see and do. With an exhibit hall full of entries, an oval full of huge, modern farm machinery, trade stalls, car displays, local arts & crafts, farm animals, dog trials, sheep shearing competition, sideshow alley for the kids and heaps of food to tempt your taste buds.

Come along to the Corrigin Show, a great day out for the whole family with something for everyone!

Wave Rock Weekender

September 2021

This event is held on the long weekend in September every year and attracts people from across the State to Hyden for camping, music, nature, films and a great time.

Kulin Bush Races

October 2021

Welcome to the award winning Kulin Bush Races. 2020 promises to be bigger and better again. Much more than a day at the races, the weekend is an indulgence of spectacular scenery, art, crafts, novelty events, children’s entertainment, live bands and delicious country style food. It is a family orientated event, with activities and entertainment for all ages. Held over the first weekend in October, the iconic regional event attracts approximately 4000 punters from across the country!

Kondinin Art Exhibition

October 2021

This event run by the Kondinin Artists’ Group is held on the second weekend of October showcasing a very high calibre of art work from across the State in various mediums. The Shire’s Acquisition Prize is valued at $7,500 and with individual medium winners taking the prize money to $11,800. This year opening night is on Friday 9th October 2020 at 7.30pm at the Kondinin Town Hall including canapes and drinks and the judge’s announcement of the category winners. The Exhibition is then open daily until Wednesday from 9:00am to 4:00pm. For just a gold coin donation, drop in and have a browse at the fabulous art work and if any take your fancy all art work is for sale. The ‘Kondinin Through the Lens’ photograph display is also available for viewing featuring photographs taken by local budding photographers.

Kondinin Gourmet in the Garden

Back to the Bush Veterans Reunion

November 2021

The Back to the Bush Veterans Reunion is held on the first weekend in November each year and is a reunion dedicated to all veterans who have served our country. The reunion is also opened up to the wider public who wish to share in the camaraderie. Thousands of veterans from all over Australia travel to Bruce Rock to enjoy the camaraderie of the community.

The event runs for a week with different social events, sporting competitions and time to chill out and relax in our fabulous community. The community of Bruce Rock hold a concert on the Saturday evening as well as markets and veterans march and much more.

Quairading Ag Show

October 2021

Celebrating 100 years in 2020 on Saturday 10th October 2020. An excellent day out for the whole family with heaps to see and do, including the Quairading Quick Shear in the evening and fireworks.

Quairading Curtain Raisers

Next show – will be announced mid-2021

A dedicated team of local volunteer cast and crew perform a musical every other year at the Quairading Town Hall. Rehearsing for three months and performing four dinner shows through late October, 2019 saw an incredible production of Mamma Mia. Keen an eye on social media for the next show – will be announced mid-2021.


The Mutton Cup

An annual celebration of football, sheep farming and all the fun that’s in between. The Quairading Football Club’s annual club fundraising event, The Mutton Cup, held at the Ag Shed near the Quairading Oval features a band, bar, banter and the friendly racing of local sheep! An event to be seen to be believed.
